James B. Edwards

James B. Edwards received a Presidential Appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.  He graduated from West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. After five years of service in the Army as an Infantry officer, Mr. Edwards was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law and then worked in the litigation section of the Houston firm of Liddell, Sapp, Zivley, Hill, & LaBoon for approximately two and a half years.  Following this, Mr. Edwards was employed by the medical malpractice defense firm of Ryan & Marshall.  On December 31, 1984, he opened his own offices, Edwards & Associates. Mr. Edwards is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law. He was elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates.  He has been selected by H-Texas, Houston’s Magazine, as one of Houston’s Best Lawyers and designated a “Super Lawyer” by Texas Monthly Magazine.

Mr. Edwards has a YouTube channel called The Doctors Defense. He has eight videos that provide a wealth of information about medical malpractice lawsuits and the litigation process.
